The FT-950 has some serious internal ground loop problems that creates an RFI problem to some of their transceivers. Heil introduced the new CC-1-XLR-Y-BAL cable (with orange top) that solves this problem. It only works with our 3-pin XLR microphones. This only works on the late model FT-9000, FT-5000, FT-2000 and the FT-950.
You will continue to use the CC-1-XLR-Y (Yellow Top) cable for all other Yaesu and any of our 3 pin balanced output PRO microphones.
